More than 100 area high school students joined their peers from Butler’s Early College Health Sciences Academy to learn more about “Journeys and Destinations” in the healthcare industry. Co-sponsored with KU Area Health Education Centers, the day-long event featured speakers from a variety of healthcare professions including family physicians, medical technologists, emergency medical technicians, pharmacists, occupational therapists and more. Students came from Rose Hill, Augusta, Circle, Derby, Douglass, El Dorado, Remington, South Lyon County as well as home and E-school kids.
