First Game. New Stadium. A Tackle Football Must-See.

In a few short days its gates will open and crowds will swell. Soon, the cheers will ring, bands will play, athletes will compete and champions will be made. On Sept. 1, a new era of Butler Football begins as they kick off their championship tradition in the new BG Products Veterans Sports Complex.

This must-see event will feature pre-game and dedication activities worthy of the tradition this stadium is built upon.

Donor Day, Aug. 29

  • 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29
  • Butler Women Soccer vs. Allen County
  • Donor Recognition
  • Free Admission/ Stadium Tours
  • Open to the Public

Butler Football & Stadium Dedication, Sept. 1

  • #2 Butler vs. #5 Blinn (TX)
  • Saturday, Sept. 1
  • Gates open at 5 p.m.
  • Stadium Dedication at 5:45 p.m.
  • Pre-Game Ceremony at 6:45 p.m.
  • Kickoff at 7 p.m., Post-game Fireworks.
    This evening of celebration features pre-game activities that include a rock climbing wall, face painting, Kansas National Guard equipment displays, free ice cream and Butler Community College and El Dorado High School singing groups and drum line. Then, be there as we dedicate BG Products Veterans Sports Complex and celebrate the vision of our community, cheer on the Butler Grizzlies and conclude the evening with a fireworks display.

    1. As a proud alum (’78) and professor at Butler for the past 31 years, my energy level for this new era at our college is through the roof. I am so grateful for the extraordinary efforts of all those who made this dream possible. Go Grizzlies!
