El Dorado Stadium Project Groundbreaking Oct. 28

Groundbreaking on the BG Products Veterans Sports Complex begins at 4 p.m., complete with FREE hot dogs, Butler and El Dorado High School marching bands, spirit squads and words from community leaders and coaches. The ceremony will be set on a full-size football field representing its future location.

A joint effort between El Dorado Public Schools, Butler Community College and the City of El Dorado, the BG Products Veterans Sports Complex project began in earnest with a lead gift from its namesake donor in August 2010.

Relying upon the proven model of community support that replicates El Dorado’s YMCA campaign nine years ago, Bob Lane, Lane Enterprises, is championing community involvement and ownership through grassroots and fundraising efforts.
