Bunnies… laying eggs? With the crucifix engraved on them?

Have you ever stopped to think about Easter? I mean really took time to think about it. Because if you have, there’s a good chance that you are utterly confused how all the traditional aspects of Easter all fit together. Looking at them all individually, most people wouldn’t even know they are included in the same holiday. What does a bunny have to do with the resurrection of Jesus Christ? And since when do bunnies lay eggs!? The anatomy there definitely failed, because these eggs are generally brightly colored with crazy designs and filled with jellybeans and chocolate. This must be why there is only one Easter Bunny, because he hasn’t figured out a way to reproduce marshmallow peeps into a furry baby rabbit…

Most people know the original reason for Easter, but this tradition is becoming more and more commercialized. So where did all these Easter traditions come from? Find out by checking out History.com’s article over Easter Symbols
